Printing clothes

We increasingly can hear about influence of the technology on current and future fashion. Especially about 3D printing technology, which is exploited more often in fashion shows than it used to. This technology require more time and money than one could think. We are adjusted that handmade clothing is the most luxurious that you can get out there, because it takes a lot of work to make it. They have to make a design of your wear and then create and arrange every little element that there is, so it's surely a lot more work than to just do something on a mass scale and let machines do most of the work. Here appears 3D printing technology that takes a lot of labor and surely is costly, but a the same time it's got machines involved. Danit Peleg is a designer that decided to create a full collection made with 3D printing technology which took her two thousand hours and long row of 3D printers. That only confirms that machine not always makes things simpler and that in fact 3D printed fashion may be as hard to acquire as handmade one, if not harder. At the same time effects obtained by 3D printer cannot be replaced by any other technique. This technology gives us new possibilities and it looks like it will be getting more and more popular with time.

  1. I wonder what exactly makes these clothes so unique (apart from the machine used to make them of course). They look like stuff crocheted with a crocheting needle - like decorative table cloths our great grandmothers used to make.
