Ukrainian underground fashion

After Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity in 2013-2014, and a wave of demonstrations in 2013, young Ukrainians were tired of not stable country situation and needed some kind of breakaway from reality. At the time there was almost no night life and that was where Slavik Lepsheev appeared with Cxema club in Kyiv opened in 2014, after Euromaidan.
Cxema is a place, that gathers together Ukrainien youth, which is all about freedom and just want to have fun and dance to, mostly, techno music. However, Cxema is not just a rave party, it also has it's own "fashion scene". People attending those parties have their own clothing style strongly influenced by the 90's. There is also domination of sporty outfits. Many people wear fancy, oldschool sunglasses in the club and chains are also quite popular. New generation of Ukrainians is mostly not very rich and, because of it their outfits are inventive in order to be original. It is hard to determine Cxema's frequent visitors fashion elements, because of occurring variety, but basically it is all about creativity.

  1. It would be interesting to learn a bit more about the clothes themselves and what they look like. What you've written sounds very general. Maybe a photo could help? Think about it next time.
